Making his first ever appearance at Comic-Con, film composer Danny Elfman announced a Limited Edition Box Set commemorating his 25 years of working with director Tim Burton.

The box set will include a DVD, 14 CD’s, a book with interviews, and Tim Burton artwork. No retail price yet but the box set is set to be released around Christmas.

Elfman started with working with Burton back in 1985 with Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure and has scored all but two of the director’s films including Ed Wood (composed by Howard Shore), and Sweeney Todd (compositions already scored by Stephen Sondheim and his team). The film soundtracks will include Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure, Beetlejuice, Batman, Edward Scissorhands, Batman Returns, Mars Attacks!, Sleepy Hollow, Planet of the Apes, Big Fish, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Corpse Bride, and Alice in Wonderland. Elfman also worked very closely with Burton during the development of The Nightmare before Christmas (directed by Henry Selick) which will also be included in the box set.
